One Day Retreats
Retreat days are a great opportunity to take time out of your daily routine to be still, refresh and re-charge. They are especially useful if you already have some experience of mindfulness or meditation, but can be suitable for beginners, please call to discuss if you are not sure.
- If you have just completed a mindfulness course, the Day Retreat is an opportunity for you to consolidate the mindfulness learned on the course and to deepen your practice.
- The Day Retreat can also be valuable for those who have completed a course some time ago and would like a refresher.
- For beginners, the Day Retreat can also give an in-depth taster of what mindfulness is and how it can help.
During the day you will be guided on the meditations that participants learned on the 8 week course, with the opportunity to experience slightly longer meditations than is possible in the 8 weeks.
As well as familiar practices such as Mindful Movement, you will be introduced to some new practices, such as periods of silence. Weather permitting, you are encouraged to spend some time out of doors and experience mindful walking.
Participants should wear loose, comfortable clothing. Although mats and meditation equipment are provided, participants may like to bring extra cushions, blankets and mats if they have their own.
Day Retreats cost £40.
Refreshments are included but you are asked to bring contributions for a ‘Bring and Share’ lunch.
Who can the One Day Retreats help?
This is for anyone who has attended our courses.
They may also be helpful for people who have attended other mindfulness courses, but please phone to discuss before booking.
How can the One Day Retreats help?
The Day Retreat draws together all the practices you learn on the 8 week course. By experiencing a whole day of mindfulness, you have more chance to feel its benefits.
By the end, we hope you will feel refreshed and rejuvenated.

How long is the One Day Retreat?
The Day Retreat lasts for 4 hours, with a break for lunch and a second short refreshment break.
Where does the One Day Retreat take place?
The next Day Retreat will be held at the lovely venue of The Renewal Centre, Swallowfield, Reading, Berks, RG7 1TJ.
How many people are in the One Day Retreat?
Up to 20 people can attend the Day Retreat.
Do I need to do anything else as part of the One Day Retreat?
